MUET Announces To Adopt Digital Technology In Entry Test From Next Academic Session

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Nov, 2016 ) : The Vice Chancellor Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Jamshoro Dr. Muhammad Aslam Uqaili Friday announced to conduct entry test for admissions in the university by adopting digital technology from the next academic session.

The candidates would solve the paper on computers in the entry test from next academic session, the Vice Chancellor informed while presiding over the 47th meeting of the Management Review Committee.

He said that Mehran University possessed the edge of introducing new methods of management, academic and research activities which were now set as roll model in other public and private universities of the country.

With introduction of digitized system in the pre-entry test, the vice chancellor said that the reservations of the candidates and their parents would also be removed for getting admissions in transparent manner.

While expressing over the performance of Quality Enhancement Cell of the university, the Vice Chancellor emphasised the need of moving the status of the university where it could be ranked at one of the best universities of the country.

The heads of academic and administrative wings of the university also presented the performance reports of their respective wings which were discussed at length with review of the set targets. The VC also distributed certificates among 35 officers of the university who participated in three days long capacity building training course on the topic "Leadership" organised by Mehran University in collaboration with Higher education Committee.

He praised the capability and hard work of university officers and said that many of them were discharging their responsibilities also in different provincial government departments as well as higher learning institutions including Benazir Medical University Larkana, Dawood Engineering University Karachi and Quaid-e-Awam University Nawabshah.

He said that the university management would continue organizing such type of training courses for capacity building of other officers of the university.
