Railways Minister Says No Compromise On Security, Quality

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Nov, 2016 ) : Pakistan Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique has said that no compromise will be made on security of the railway infrastructure and the standard of quality in the railways.
He was presiding over a meeting at the PR Headquarters, here on Friday to review performance, maintenance and repairing of new Ballast and Tamping' machines imported for the track maintenance. The minister also ordered for presenting suggestions about purchase of more modern machinery for short- and long-term projects.
He also ordered for inviting master trainers from the same country from where any machine is purchased to train the PR staff for better operation of these machines, adding that the PR technical staff could also be sent to the country concerned for training.
He directed the management to appoint only well qualified staff to operate these machines so that the life of these machines could be enhanced. PR Chief Executive Officer Javaid Anwar Boobak and other senior officers attended the meeting.
