India 319-4 At Stumps In First England Test

RAJKOT, India, , (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Nov, 2016 ) - Cheteshwar Pujara and Murali Vijay hit centuries as India attempted to close the gap with England on the third day of a run-laden first Test in Rajkot on Friday.
At stumps, India were 319-4 with skipper Virat Kohli batting on 26 and nightwatchman Amit Mishra being dismissed off the last ball of the day for a duck.
Pujara hit a fine 124 off 206 balls before being dismissed by all-rounder and first-innings centurion Ben Stokes.
Vijay made 126 during a marathon innings that lasted more than eight hours. The hosts now trail England by 218 runs with six wickets in hand. Brief Scores: England 1st innings: 537 (B. Stokes 128, J.
