Plea To Explore New Markets For Labour

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Nov, 2016 ) : Islamabad Chamber of Small Traders on Friday said the government should find new markets for labour and take necessary steps to boost remittances which are necessary to offset the impact of import bill.
In a statement issued here, Patron Islamabad Chamber of Small Traders Shahid Rasheed Butt said that government should take concrete steps to boost remittances which are lifeline of economy. He said that more than six million Pakistanis are working abroad sending over 19 billion Dollars yearly which helps keep trade gap in limits.
He said that remittances were growing by 15 percent per annum since six years but latest figures indicate a fall. The trade leader called upon the concerned authorities to improve functions of departments dealing with export of manpower and those responsible for the welfare of expatriates.
