Rana Mashood Awards Medals, Prizes To Matric Position-holders

LAHORE,(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th july,2016) : Provincial Minister for school education Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan Wednesday awarded medals and prizes to the distinction-holders in Secondary School Certificate (Matric) First Annual, Examination, 2016 of the Lahore board during a solemn ceremony at the Al-Hamra Hall No.II, Shahrah-e-Quaid-e-Azam. Chairman, Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore, Dr.
Muhammad Nasrullah Virk, welcomed the honorable guests and announced Matric annual 2016 result. The Chairman, while giving out details, said 214,711 candidates appeared in the SSC (Annual) Examination, 2016, of which 153,478 candidates were declared successful showing a pass percentage of 71.48 percent.
As per details, 102,780 out of 131,161 candidates passed in science group, while 50698 out of 83550 candidates remained successful in Humanities Group and the pass percentage was 60.68. Rana Omer Farman S/O Rana Farman Ali Sabir of the Divisional Public School and Inter College, Model Town, Lahore with 1087 marks won overall top position in Lahore Board.
Muhammad Shayan Waheed S/O Waheed Naz of DPS, Model Town, Lahore got overall second position by securing 1086 marks and Syed Momin Ali S/O Syed Javaid Shoukat and Hussnain Mushtaq S/O Mushtaq Ahmed Ch.
students of DPS, Model Town secured 1085 marks and stood overall third. The above noted students also got 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions in Science Group among boys. In the category of Science group, among girls Semil Saleem D/O Muhammad Saleem a student of Punjab Girls High School, Johar Town, Lahore got 1st position by securing 1083 marks, Rimsha Tahir D/O Ghulam Nabi Tahir , DPS Model Town, Lahore secured 1082 marks and got 2nd position and Sajal Tariq D/O Muhammad Tariq, Jinnah Grammer Secondary School, Ghulam Hussain Park, Shad Bagh Lahore secured 1079 marks and stood third.
In the Humanities Group among Boys, Sabir Ali S/O Muhammad Tufail, student of Pakistan Model High School, Kasur got 1st position by securing 1034 marks, Muhammad Shahzad S/O Muhammad Iqbal, Allied School, Al-Miraj Campus for Boys, Shadman, Lahore obtained 2nd position by securing 1006 marks and Muhammad Usman S/O Khalid Zahoor, Allam Iqbal Public High School, Kasur and Allah Ditta S/O Muhammad Aslam, Govt.
Public High School Nain Sukh, Lahore stood third by securing 994 marks. In the Humanities Group among Girls, Iqra D/O Muhammad Yaseen, student of Allama Iqbal High School for Girls, Kasur got 1st position by securing 1067 marks, Ayesha Khalid D/O Khalid Mahmood , a student of Society Public Girls High School, Mughalpura, Lahore obtained 2nd position by securing 1055 marks and Areej Waseem D/O Waseem Zafar, Farooqi Girls High School Karim Park,Lahore also got 2nd position with 1055 marks and Uzma Waris D/O Waris Masih, (Private Student) of Lahore stood third by securing 1045 marks. First, second and third position holders were awarded with Gold, Silver and Browns Medals alongwith Rs.
20,000/-, Rs.15,000/- and Rs.10,000/- respectively. Merit certificates were also awarded to the position holders by the chief guest. Overall Topper Rana Omar Farhan obtained 1087 marks under Roll No.203528, a student of Divisional Public School and Inter College, Model Town, Lahore was also awarded with a laptop. The Minister Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan appreciated the working of Lahore Board for declaring the R.L.
