MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 11th April, 2019) Thirty countries have so far confirmed that they will send their teams to this summer's fifth edition of the International Army Games, the Russian Defense Ministry, the organizer of the event, said on Thursday.
Last October, the ministry that it was going to invite a total of 86 countries to the games, slated to take place on August 3-17.
"At the moment, the participation in the event has been confirmed by 30 countries, which are ready to send 206 teams," the ministry said in a statement.
The competitions will be held in 10 countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, China, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Russia and Uzbekistan. Around 6,000 military personnel are expected to partake in the event.
A total of 32 countries took part in last year's edition of the military games.
