The Lahore High Court granted bail to PML-N leader and Opposition leader in Punjab Assembly till April 17
LAHORE- (Pakistan Point News- 10th April 2019) The Lahore High Court (LHC) has granted pre-arrest bail to PML-N leader Hamza Shahbaz till April 17 in Saaf Pani and Ramzan Sugar Mills cases.
The opposition leader was granted bail submitting surety bonds worth Rs10 million in each case. The NAB reply had also been sought on the matter.
According to details, a two-member bench of the LHC headed by Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmad Khan heard the case on the application submitted by Hamza’s lawyers on earlier today.
According to the bail petitions, Hamza was afraid that he would be called in one case and arrested in some others as this trend already set by NAB in case of other politicians.
His lawyer also told the court that Hamza was issued notice yesterday night and NAB summoned him in a money laundering and assets beyond means case today.
The court was told that PML-N leader that since NAB indicted him in Ramzan Sugar Mills case, he was afraid he will be arrested in other cases. Therefore, the court was requested for bail.
