LAHORE- (Pakistan Point News- 9th April 2019) At least three people killed and around 40 sustain injuries due to heavy rains in different parts of Pakistan.
Media reports stated heavy rains hit major parts of KP including Peshawar, although some parts of upper and central Punjab including Lahore also witnessed medium to heavy rains after midnight.
A local tv reported that three people killed and 42 got injuries in Peshawar.
According to Peshawar police, the dead included one woman and a child.
Rains in the different part of KP also disrupt electricity distribution due to tripping. The different feeders of power distribution companies of Pesco, Gepco, Iesco and Lesco faced disruption and consumers witnessed frequent power cuts due to rain. The temperature witnessed a decrease due to rain and the Met office predicted the weather would remain cloudy in different parts of Pakistan during the next 24 hours.
The decrease in temperature will also result in a reduction in power demand.
