Kiev Approved Extradition Of Paul Klebnikov's Murder Suspect To Russia- Prosecutor General

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 09th April, 2019) Ukraine granted the extradition of 22 people to Russia in 2018, including the suspect in the high-profile assassination of the US-born editor-in-chief of Russian edition of Forbes, Paul Klebnikov, a report submitted by Russian Prosecutor General Yury Chayka to parliament's upper chamber, showed.

"Despite complications in the inter-state relations between Russia and Ukraine, thanks to the efforts made by the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation, competent Ukrainian bodies have made decisions this year [2018] to extradition to Russia of 22 persons, including Dukuzov M.I., who is accused of killing ... Klebnikov," the report said.

Klebnikov, was shot dead in Moscow back in 2004. His assassination has become one of the most high-profile cases in Russia's modern history.

Dukuzov was detained in Kiev in November 2017 after being put on the international wanted list at Moscow's request over his possible implication in a number of contract killings and Klebnikov's murder.
