Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 9th April, 2019) The Railway administration has announced a special package for non-stop Jinnah Express.
According to the announcement, the passengers making their booking 48 hours before will get a concession of Rs 300 in the train fares. They would have to pay Rs 6200 for Lahore to Karachi Jinnah Express instead of Rs 6500.
Moreover, children will be given a discount of Rs 1900. This discount for children is only for one month.
If someone wants to go on a family tour with children, they should go to Karachi this month.
Railway Minister Sheikh Rasheed had asked for this concession. The minister had promised that he will make railways so functional that people will prefer travelling via train rather other means of transport.
Prime Minister Imran Khan had inaugurated the train on March 30 while the operations started on March 31.
Jinnah Express consists of 12 Airconditioned business coaches, two power plants and one dinning car with fare of Rs 6,500 per person (adult) in which food and other services are being provided.
The fare for a child is Rs 4,900 while Rs 6,500 fare is being charged from a passenger boarding the train from any station in between the journey.
The train stops at Hyderabad, Rohri and Khanewal railway stations from up and down sides.
Jinnah Express completes its journey in just 16 hours and it runs between Lahore Cantt and Karachi Cantt through the Main Line.
