Make-A-Wish Foundation to host ‘World Volunteering Conference for Asian Countries’

ABU DHABI, (Pakistan Point News - 08th Apr, 2019) Make-A-Wish Foundation will host the "World Volunteering Conference for Asian Countries" in Abu Dhabi, on 10th and 11th April 2019, with the attendance of Michel Rudolfo, CEO of the Foundation.

The conference will be attended by delegations representing the foundation in Asia and the Pacific, including from Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, the Philippines, Hong Kong, India, Korea and New Zealand, as well as the foundation’s board members in the UAE and its advisory board members, employees and volunteers.

The first day of the conference, which will be held in the middle East for the second time, will discuss volunteering management and the work of project teams that were formed during the 2017 conference.

The conference will also discuss many relevant topics, such as employment, qualifications, roles and responsibilities and training, with the aim of improving the volunteer management process of the foundation’s offices in Asia, as well as working papers on the role of volunteers and the wish achievement process.

Hany Al Zobaidy, CEO of the Emirati Make-A-Wish Foundation, expressed his pride at Abu Dhabi’s hosting of the conference during the Year of Tolerance that confirms the UAE’s leading role of in promoting volunteering, which has become an approach and a way of life and continues the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
