BZU VC For Promoting Alternative Treatment Methods Along With Allopathic

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Nov, 2016 ) : Vice Chancellor Bahauddin Zakariya University Dr Tahir Amin on Thursday said that along with allopathic methods of treatments, herbal, homeopathic and other alternative procedures should also be promoted.
He said, "We should not be biased about any method of treatment." Addressing a conference titled "Use of Eastern Medicines for Health" at IMS Hall here, the VC said that it was need of the hour to interlink all types of treatment methodologies.
Dr Tahir Amin stated that use of Greek method of treatment even today was the testimony to this fact. Patron-in-Chief BEMS Medical Association, Dr Usman Ghani informed that World Health Organization (WHO) had launched several programmes under "Health for All" scheme.
He added that the societies would be healthy when people benefited from alternative or Eastern Medicines. He said that set up college of Eastern Medicine would be a welcome gesture. Dean faculty of Pharmacy, Dr Bashir Ahmed, said that they had several precedents that ingredients of medicines had been extracted from herbs.
He stated that humanity could be served in a better way by getting benefits from the eastern medicines. A large number of students and faculty members attended the conference.
