Islamabad (Pakistan Point News / Online - 08th April, 2019) Accountability Court Islamabad has adjourned the hearing of fake accounts case till April 16.Accountability Court No-2 Judged Muhammad Arshad Malik heard the case.PPP Co-Chairman and former president Asif Ali Zardari and his sister Faryal Talpur appeared before the court in Islamabad on Monday.The fake accounts case took a fresh turn when two of the accused persons expressed their willingness before an accountability court to become approvers against PPP Co-Chairman and his sister.

The case was earlier being heard in a banking court in Karachi. However, it was later transferred to Islamabad on an appeal made by the National Accountability Court (NAB).Asif Zardari, his sister Talpur and other suspects nominated in the case appeared before the accountability court aimed tight security as at least 1,650 security officials deployed within and around the judicial complex to avoid any untoward situation during the hearing.As the hearing began, two women, identified as Kiran Aman and Noreen Sultan, who are among the 30 accused nominated in the case by NAB told the court that they are ready to testify as witnesses.

They informed that court that they had also filed an application in this regard with the NAB chairman, but the bureau had named them as accused instead.As many as 16 accused, including Zardari and Talpur, appeared before the accountability court while six others submitted applications for exemption through their lawyers in the court.Zardari and Talpur's lawyers Farooq H Niak and Latif Khosa while submitting applications for the exemption of Zardari and Talpur took stance that the environment has been develop outside the court is because of Asif Ali Zardari and Talpur.

They said the trial could run smoothly if they court ordered their exemption from appearing in the court.Latif Khosa said lawyers were stopped entering in the court which should not be done so. He further said the court room is small and in this regard a mechanism should be made to run the case proceeding smoothly.
