ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Nov, 2016 ) : Islamabad High Court (IHC) Thursday sought policies from Federal government regarding regularization of daily wages employees. Justice Athar Minallah heard the case filed by employees working on daily wages in educational institutions of federal capital.
During the proceeding, the bench asked what policies were adopted by the government to regularize employees in 2008 and 2011. The officials of Ministry of Capital Administration Development Division (CADD) adopted the stance that these employees couldn't be regularized under the 2008 policy.
The counsel for the petitioners, Umair Baloch argued that employees were regularized under a policy, which was evolved on June 30, 2011.
He said the government deliberately formed a committee under the policy of 2008 to see the cases of regularization of employees.
Umair Baloch adopted the stance that the regularization policy of 2011 was made after the approval of Prime Minister and Cabinet. He further added that the joining from hundreds of employees was not taken so far even after getting medical reports for this purpose.
On this, the court observed that the joining case would be heard separately. The bench directed to appoint a reasonable officer from Establishment Division and Cabinet Division to assist the court in this case. Justice Athar Minallah remarked that if the policy was approved by the Prime Minister and Cabinet then the matter was clear.
