LDA Squad Demolishes Illegal Construction

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Nov, 2016 ) : A flag march was carried out in Johar Town, Wapda Town, Allama Iqbal Town and other areas on Thursday by the specially set up squad for demolishing illegal constructions in the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) housing schemes, private housing schemes and the building control area of LDA.
The LDA staff demolished six structures and sealed another five at different places in the city. In the PIA Society, near entrance of Wapda Town, an under-construction commercial type building was demolished and stern warning was issued to the other under-construction buildings for refraining from violation of the building regulations.
On main Canal Road near police station Hurbanspura, the LDA staff demolished foundations of an under-construction house in an illegal land sub-division.
It also pulled down a commercial hall near Rizwan Garden before pouring of the roof slab.
The newly started construction in an old marriage hall near Medical Housing Society was razed to ground and further construction was stopped. A commercial market near Concordia College was also demolished and new construction was halted at site.
In Allama Iqbal Town area, the LDA staff demolished the under-construction fourth floor of a building at plot No 120 of Asif Block besides sealing five structures on plot Nos 12, 162, 163 and 164 in Karim Block and plot No 14 of Mamdot Block, Mustafa Town.
