IRSA releases 120,572 cusecs water from various rim stations

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Nov, 2016 ) : The Indus River System Authority (IRSA) Thursday released 120,572 cusecs water for various rim stations with inflow of 51,323 cusecs.

According to the data released by IRSA, water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1487.73 feet, which was 107.73 feet higher than its dead level 1380 feet. Water inflow in the dam was recorded as 27,900 cusecs while outflow was recorded as 65,000 cusecs.

The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1179.10 feet, which was 139.10 feet higher than its dead level of 1040 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded as 7,851 cusecs and 40,000 cusecs respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 76,884, 55,323 and 35,420 cusecs respectively. Similarly, from the Kabul River a total of 6,692 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 8,100 cusecs released from the Chenab River at Marala.
