During the opening ceremony of the first Mercedes-Benz car assembly plant in Russia on Wednesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed confidence that the company will not be disappointed with the way business is going in Russia
YESIPOVO (Moscow region) (Pakistan Point news / Sputnik - 03rd April, 2019) During the opening ceremony of the first Mercedes-Benz car assembly plant in Russia on Wednesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed confidence that the company will not be disappointed with the way business is going in Russia."I am sure that Mercedes-Benz will not be disappointed with how the work and business in Russia are going, and we will do everything for this and we will help our partners," Putin said.
He noted that Mercedes already has good experience of working in Russia with the GAZ automotive manufacturer and KAMAZ trucks and engines manufacturing company.
Putin also said that the total investments in the plant amounted to some $291 million.
The design capacity of the plant is 25,000 cars per year. The number of jobs at full load of the enterprise will exceed 1,000 people.
