Pak-US Ties To Grow Further: Fatemi

ISLAMABAD, Nov 9 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 09th Nov, 2016 ) : Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Syed Tariq Fatemi Wednesday said US-Pakistan ties would grow further under the new administration led by President-elect by Donald J.
Trump. He said Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has congratulated the US president-elect in a felicitation message and expressed the hope that the bilateral ties between the US and Pakistan would be further strengthened.
The Special Assistant, in a tv programme, said all polls projections about Donald Trump had proved wrong, but it reflected the confidence of American people in his personality.
He said Pakistan would like to work with the new US administration over a number of global issues.
Fatemi also highlighted the achievements of Hillary Clinton. To a query, he replied that Pakistan's ties with Russia were improving. Several other countries of the region were taking keen interest in the $46 billion China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) flagship project, he added.
