ISLAMABAD, Nov 9 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 09th Nov, 2016 ) : Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting Mohsin Shahnawaz Ranjha on Wednesday said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had no evidence against Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif as his name was not mentioned in the Panama Papers.
The Supreme Court had asked PTI's lawyer Hamid Khan to present documented evidence about the offshore companies allegedly owned by the prime minister, but he could not do so, Ranjha said speaking in a private tv programme.
He said although the name of prime minister was not mentioned in the Panama papers yet he presented himself for accountability. The PTI, he said, was just doing politics on Panama Papers for political point scoring.
He said PTI chief Imran Khan and leaders Jahangir Tareen and Aleem Khan also owned offshore companies. Ranjah felicitated the newly appointed Governor of Sindh Justice (R) Saeed uz Zaman Siddiqui, who he said, was an impartial person.
