DC Directs To Achieve 100 Percent Target Of Polio Immunization

HYDERABAD, Nov 9 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 09th Nov, 2016 ) : Deputy Commissioner Moatasam Abbasi has directed the officers concerned to take concrete steps to achieve 100 percent results of upcoming anti polio drive to be stared from November 21 to November 24, 2016 in the district.
The Deputy Commissioner issued such directives while presiding over a meeting to review the arrangements of the scheduled anti polio campaign here at his office on Wednesday. The DC directed the health department officers to take every possible measures to achieve the set target of vaccination, adding negligence would not be tolerated and responsibles would be punished.
Mayor Hyderabad Muncipal Corporation (HMC) Tayyab Hussain said in order to convince the parents who refused their children for vaccination, services of the elected representatives should be utilised.
Focal person Dr. Masood informed the meeting that during the anti polio campaign 380848 children of under five years of age would be immunized and for this purpose total 1001 teams of which 865 mobile, 100 fixed point and 36 transit point teams have been formed, adding 11 Taluka supervisors, 65 doctors and 209 area incharges would also take part in the campaign.
The meeting was attended by district health officer Dr. Ahmed Ali Hyder, Additional Deputy Commissioner II Shakeel Ahmed Abro, Assistant Commissioners of three Talukas, doctors and other concerned officers.
