Over 800 Syrians Return Home From Jordan, Lebanon Over Past 24 Hours - Russian Military

A total of 809 Syrian refugees, including over 400 minors, have returned to their home country from neighboring Jordan and Lebanon over the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry's Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides and Refugee Migration Monitoring said on Tuesday

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 02nd April, 2019) A total of 809 Syrian refugees, including over 400 minors, have returned to their home country from neighboring Jordan and Lebanon over the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry's Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides and Refugee Migration Monitoring said on Tuesday.

"Over the past 24 hours, 809 refugees returned to the Syrian Arab Republic from the territory of foreign states, including 144 people ([including] 43 women and 74 children) who left Lebanon for Syria via the Jaydet-Yabus and Talkalakh checkpoints; and 665 people ([including] 200 women and 339 children) who returned from Jordan via the Nassib checkpoint," the center said in its daily bulletin.

In addition, 69 internally displaced Syrians returned to their homes, the center added.

Meanwhile, Syrian engineering units removed mines from 2.8 hectares (6.9 acres) of land and destroyed 35 explosives, the center said.

Almost 175,200 Syrian refugees have returned from Jordan and Lebanon since last July, according to the Russian military.
