Audit Reports,documents Sought From NGOs For Scrutiny: Shamim Mumtaz

THATTA, Nov. 09 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 09th Nov, 2016 ) : Sindh minister for social welfare, Shamim Mumtaz, has said that non government organizations registered with social welfare department were directed to submit all relevant documents and audit reports to concerned offices within a week otherwise their registration would be cancelled.
During visit of social welfare office at Thatta on Wednesday she directed officials of the department to thoroughly scrutinize the information of the applicant NGO before issuing registrations certificate.
Admitting the fact that some NGOs working in Sindh were avoiding audit process, she said that social welfare officers were instructed to began audit of all NOGs and closely monitor them as well.
She said that following the directives of CM Sindh for visiting subordinate offices twice a month she paid visit to office of deputy director social welfare Thatta and reviewed all affairs and checked the attendance of staff. She also directed concerned officers to ensure the attendance of staff and resolve the problems of the people on priority basis. APP/mau/mzd/rn
