First International Nursing Excellence Conference begins in Abu Dhabi tomorrow

ABU DHABI, (Pakistan Point News - 31st Mar, 2019) Abu Dhabi Health Services Company, SEHA, is organising tomorrow the 1st International Nursing Excellence Conference themed: "Creating a Culture of Excellence through partnership with Direct Care Nurses".

The two-day conference, the first in the MENA region, will see the participation of nursing professionals from the UAE, the Arab countries, Europe and the USA.

Attendees will discuss the latest best practices and challenges that face the nursing industry. They will also discuss practical strategies for embedding the pathway to excellence standards in the organisation.

Dr. Ali Abdul Kareem Al Obaidli , the Group Chief Academic Affairs Officer, said that SEHA endeavors to ensure the quality and sustainability healthcare services by devoting effort and allocating resources in an efficient and focused manner." We do believe on the relation that exist between Patient Care Quality and Workforce Outcomes. We see that patient care outcomes included nurse-reported quality of patient transitions across care settings and nurses’ ability to complete essential nursing care," he added.

He went on to say, "Thus as far as healthcare manpower is concerned, SEHA recognises nurses as an irreplaceable part of our medical profession. We will continue allocating resources to ensure that our nurses are maintaining top standards and always keep abreast with the latest medical advancement and nursing practices."

Dr. Aysha Al Mahri, Group Nursing and Allied Health Director of SEHA, stressed the company’s keenness on bolstering excellence in healthcare services and honing the skills of its medical and paramedical cadres to enable them to improve their performance on continuous bases.

She added, "the conference, the first to be organised outside the UAE, represents a good chance for our nursing staff and other healthcare staff across the country to improve their capabilities." She also pointed out that SEHA is implementing a program for excellence in nursing endorsed by the American Nurses Credentialing Centre, ANCC.

Officials in nursing field from the KSA, Kuwait, Bahrain and Sultanate of Oman have been invited to attend this event with the ultimate objective of expertise exchange, she said.
