Stern Action To Be Taken Against Untreated Smoke,DCO

LAHORE,Nov 9 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 09th Nov, 2016 ) : City District Government Lahore (CDGL) will take stern action against the industrial units spreading poisonous and untreated smoke in the air, warned District Coordination Officer Captain (R) Muhammad Usman here on Wednesday.
He was chairing a meeting with factory owners at his office. The meeting was also attended by EDO MS Sardar Naseer and DO Environment Riaz Anjum. The DCO said that the relevant laws would be implemented strictly and zero tolerance policy would be adopted in this regard.
He said that factories/ industrial units reluctant to install air-omission control device would not be de-sealed at any cost. He told the factory-owners that only those factories would be opened which will stop the use of carbon and give undertaking of installing air-omission control device for treatment of poisonous smoke and gas within a period of two months.
The factory owners assured DCO Lahore of their full cooperation to implement the Environment Laws.
