BAGHDAD, (Pakistan Point News - 29th Mar, 2019) - Dr. Barham Saleh, President of Iraq, has lauded the UAE's unstinted support to Iraq, expressing keenness to strengthen his country's ties with the UAE for the benefit of the two brotherly peoples.
President Saleh made these remarks while receiving Hassan Ahmed Al Shehhi, UAE Ambassador to Baghdad, today.
The UAE Ambassador conveyed greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to the Iraqi President.
Ambassador Al Shehhi reaffirmed UAE's support to the government and people of Iraq and its firm stand with Iraq in fighting terrorism and extremism.
The Iraqi President reciprocated greetings to the UAE's leadership.
He also thanked Ambassador Al Shehhi's for his efforts to develop relations between the UAE and Iraq during his tenure and wished him success in his new assignment.
