Top Seed Kashan Enters Into IGP Khurshid Alam Memorial Tennis Semis

PESHAWAR, Nov 9 (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 09th Nov, 2016 ) : Top seed Kashan Omer entered into the semi-finals after recording victory against Haseeb Ullah in the quarter-finals of the first IGP Khurshid Alam Khan Memorial Inter-Regional Tennis Championship being played here at Qayyum Sport Complex on Wednesday.
Kashan Omer did not face any resistance against his rival Haseeb Ullah and marched into victory at 6-1 and 6-2. Besides top seeded Kashan Omer, the other three players Hamza Roman, Hamid Israr and Shahawar Khan also moved to the semi-finals after registering victories in the quarter-finals of the Under-12 category.
The current National ranking no. 1 in the Under-10 category and winning three major titles of the POF Wah National Ranking Tennis, Lahore Gymkhana and National Ranking event at Karachi, Hamza Roman recorded victory against Riyan Arif in another one-sided affair match, the score was 6-2 and 6-2, Hamid Israr, another promising player, defeated Imran Ullah by 6-3, and 6-2 while Shahsawar beat Hamza Arif in a thrilling match.
The score was 6-3 and 6-4. In the Under-14 pre-quarter-finals Aqib Umar, the top seed, of the category, defeated Uzair Khan by 6-2 and 6-1. Shoaib Khan, Kashan Umar and Hamza Roman also registered victories.
Shoaib Khan beat Uzair by 6-1 and 6-2, Kashan Umar beat Shahsawar by 6-2 and 6-2, Hamza Roman beat Aisan by 6-2 and 6-1. In the Men singles second round, Mubarak Shah beat Ikram Ullah by 6-2 and 6-3, Farhad Ullah beat Khalid Afridi in a thrilling encounter by 6-2, 2-6 and 6-3, Zakir Ullah beat Izhar Khan by 6-1 and 6-3.
