Australia wins five-match ODI series against Pakistan

Visitors beat Pakistan in the third game by 80 scores at Abu Dhabi’s Cricket Stadium. Responding to Australia’s 266, Shoaib-11 lost all wickets in 44th over at the score of 186.

LAHORE- (Pakistan Point News- 27th March 2019) Australia won the third ODI against Pakistan by 80 runs at UAE’s Abu Dhabi cricket Stadium on Wednesday.

The visitors also grabbed the five-match series by 3-0 with the latest victory against Malk-11.

Pakistan lost all the wickets in 44th over at just score of 186 while responding to Australia’s 266 at loss of six in the 50-over game.

Shan Masood and Imam-ul-Haq opened the innings for Pakistan but the team met the first blow when Shan went lost its wicket at 2 on Cummins delivery. Haris Sohail and Muhammad Rizwan were the next preys of Cummins who send them back to pavilion at score one and duck.

Shoaib Malk made 32 off 50 balls with a single boundary before getting dismissed on Lyon’s ball. Umar Akmal added 36 off 46 balls before being caught on Behrendorff’s ball. Imad Wasim was the second highest scorer of Pakistan after Imam and he made 43 off 53 balls. Zampa took Imad’s wicket while Maxwell dismissed Imam at 46. The opener made this addition to the scoreboard on 72 balls. Zampa took the last three wickets of Usman Shinvari (o), Junaid Khan (5) and Muhammad Hasnain (0). Yasir Sheh went not out at 10.

Earlier, the Aussies, who had already won the two games of the five-match series, won the toss and elected to bat first. Usman Khawaja and AJ Finch opened the innings but Khawaja got dismissed on the ball of Usman Shinvari at the duck. Aussies met the second blow when Junaid Khan took the wicket of SE March at score of 14. However, PSP Handscomb played a solid inning with Finch and took the scoreboard to 150. Harris bowled out Handscomb at 47. He made this score off 43 balls with the help of six boundaries. Imad Wasim took the wicket of MP Stoinis at score of 10. GJ Maxwell was the second highest scorers after Finch and he made 71 runs off 55 balls with the help of eight boundaries and one six before run out by Muhammad Rizwan. Finch made highest 90 off 136 balls with five boundaries and one six. Haris Sohail took Finch catch at Yasir Shah’s delivery.

AT Carey and PJ Cummins went not out at 25 and two respectively. Aussies made 266 at loss of six wickets.
