PESCO Nabs Eight Power Pilferers

PESHAWAR, Nov 9 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 09th Nov, 2016 ) : About eight persons were arrested by the Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (PESCO) police on charges of using power supply through direct hooks and eight meters were disconnected due to non payment of dues.
According to a PESCO press release issued here on Wednesday, the PESCO removed 28 direct hooks at Gulbahar and WazirBagh sub-divisions. SDO WazirBagh Khalid Khan along with PESCO staff and Pesco Police, checked several areas of Sohailabad and Rehman Baba and nabbed 3 persons using direct hooks and registered FIRs against the accused.
As many as 12 direct connections have been removed besides nine meters disconnected due to nonpayment of Rs 2,55,000. PESCO teams along with PESCO Police under the supervision of SDO Gulbahar sub division Shahid Afridi checked several areas of Pandu Road and Gulbahar and nabbed five persons on charges of using direct hooks.
FIRs have been registered and accused were arrested while 16 direct hooks removed. During the campaign eight connections were disconnected due to nonpayment of Rs 2,45,000.
