BAGHDAD, (Pakistan Point News - 27th Mar, 2019) Hassan Ahmed Al Shehhi, UAE Ambassador to Iraq, delivered a second batch of wheelchairs to the Iraqi Alliance of Disability, IAD, through a donation by Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank.
Al Shehhi said that Emirati charity, humanitarian and investment institutions, especially those with foreign investments, are taking social responsibility very seriously, especially in certain countries, as they are keen to support their communities.
He added that the UAE, during the Year of Tolerance, which is the follow up to the Year of Zayed, launched the bank’s initiative under the direct supervision of the UAE Embassy in Baghdad, and completed previous initiatives supervised by the embassy for disabled people.
Muwafaq Khafaji, IAD President, his deputy, Hisham Al Ezzawi, and members of the centre thanked the UAE’s leadership and people and praised the bank’s initiative.
