PNCA Organizes Cultural Show To Mark Iqbal Day

ISLAMABAD, Nov 9 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 09th Nov, 2016 ) : Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) on Wednesday organized a colourful cultural show to mark the birth anniversary of National poet, Allama Muhammad Iqbal.
Director General PNCA Syed Jamal Shah was the chief guest on the occasion. The event was started with puppet show arranged by Puppetry theater of the Council. The students of various educational institutions speeches, national songs and Tableau and got big applause from the audience at PNCA Auditorium.
Later, renowned singer Muhammad Ali, Gulshan Jahan, Iqbal Ali, Javied Niazi and Babar Niazi presented Kalam-e-Iqbal on the occasion. Addressing the ceremony, Director General PNCA Syed Jamal Shah lauded the performances of students, adding that PNCA is making efforts to pay tribute to our renowned scholars, poets and artists with befitting manner.
He said that more such programs would be organized to pay tribute and homage to prominent artists, singers, poets and writers every month. Jamal Shah said PNCA would train young artists while workshops, tableaus, Mime shows be organized for children.
"Further measures would be taken for the promotion of visual and performing arts in the council," he said. He said that it is essential to promote cultural heritage in order to preserve it. Later, he also distributed trophies among the participating students. A large number of people from different walks of life also participated in the cultural show.
