Mayor Assures Traders Community For Resolving Their Issues

ISLAMABAD, Nov 9 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 09th Nov, 2016 ) : Capital Development Authority (CDA) and MCI with the cooperation of traders community would work on effective recommendations to resolve the issues of construction of additional storey's on commercial buildings.
These issues would be submitted in the CDA board for approval. All the roads in commercial areas, particularly in the industrial areas would also be constructed in line with modern techniques to resolve the problems of heavy traffic.
Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman CDA, Sheikh Anser Aziz expressed these views during a meeting with the delegation of Traders Union led by the President, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), Khalid Malik, here at CDA headquarters on Tuesday.
On this occasion, Deputy Mayor, Syed Zeeshan Naqvi, officer of MCI and CDA and elected members were also present. Anser Aziz said that all out measure would be taken for provision of business related facilities to the traders union to make Islamabad centre of business activities.
He said that a comprehensive strategy has been formulated for repair and maintenance of roads in the industrial areas, which have been damaged by the heavy traffic, adding that under the plan, these roads would not only be reconstructed and expanded in line with modern technology but material of high quality would be used during the construction these roads, which would bear the burden of heavy traffic.
Focus would also be given for proper drainage system on both sides of these roads, he added. Mayor said that different committees, comprises of elected representatives, officers of CDA and MCI and representatives of traders have been constituted.
He added that these committees would compile valuable recommendations for solution of problems related to lease, trader license and other related issues for promotion of business activities in the Federal Capital. To enhance business opportunities in the Capital city, he further said that commercial plots in different marakiz and sectors would be offered for auction.
