Russian Helicopters Plans to Create 4 Service Centers in China by 2021 - Deputy CEO

Russian Helicopters, which is part of the Rostec state corporation, plans to create four service centers for Russian-made choppers in China by 2021, Russian Helicopters Deputy CEO Igor Chechikov told Sputnik on Wednesday

LANGKAWI (Malaysia) (Pakistan Point news / Sputnik - 27th March, 2019) Russian Helicopters, which is part of the Rostec state corporation, plans to create four service centers for Russian-made choppers in China by 2021, Russian Helicopters Deputy CEO Igor Chechikov told Sputnik on Wednesday.

"In the near future, approximately by 2021, [we plan there will be] at least four centers in China ... We are negotiating and working with the Chinese side to authorize the centers in Chengdu and ... [another one] near Shanghai to have the right to perform repairs of helicopter equipment that they use," Chechikov said during the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA-2019).

He noted that the service center in Chengdu was already operating.

Moreover, Chechikov said that a service center for maintenance of Mi-171Sh will be opened in Peru in 2019.
