Governor Visits Mazar-e-Iqbal

LAHORE, Nov 9 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 09th Nov, 2016 ) : Governor Punjab, Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana here on Wednesday visited the mausoleum of Dr Allama Muhammad Iqbal to pay tribute on his 139th birth anniversary.
He laid floral wreath at the mausoleum of great poet and philosopher and offered Fateha. He also wrote his comments in the visitors' book.
He said that Dr Iqbal awakened the Muslims of sub-continent through his poetry and making them realise the need for a separate homeland for Muslims.
On the occasion, Rajwana especially stressed upon the youth to imbibe the message of Allama Muhammad Iqbal and passion of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. He said that Iqbal was not merely a poet of the Sub-continent rather his philosophical writings bear relevence for the whole Muslim Ummah at that time and even today.
