Russian anti-doping agency RUSADA has revealed 146 cases of possible doping violations committed by Russian athletes in 2018, the agency's annual report showed on Tuesday

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 26th March, 2019) Russian anti-doping agency RUSADA has revealed 146 cases of possible doping violations committed by Russian athletes in 2018, the agency's annual report showed on Tuesday.

According to the document, 2018 saw a 147 percent increase in the number of violations in comparison to the previous year.

The Russian Powerlifting Federation accounted for 30 cases of possible violations, while members of the Russian Weightlifting Federation and the All-Russia Athletic Federation were suspected in 22 and 23 cases, respectively, the report showed.

The athletes accused of violating anti-doping rules along with other people involved as well as the relevant sports federations have been informed about the findings, the report said.

Some of the results are still being analyzed.
