LAHORE (Pakistan Point News / Online - 26th March, 2019) Chief of Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) Dr Tahir ul Qadri has said " may Nawaz Sharif remain well till the dispensation of justice in Model Town incident.He said this while talking to media men here Tuesday on his arrival at Allama Iqbal International Airport.He held he does not want to say any thing with reference to judiciary. The talk about judiciary will be made in judiciary and with the judiciary.
We will not hesitate if we have to approach Supreme Court for the sake of justice.The present JIT is the only neutral JIT constituted after June 17, 2014 which has questioned Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif ,he said adding this JIT visited the scene and got forensic survey conducted in respect of bullet marks.Responding to a question about use of bullets and arms he said the both of previous JITs did not record statement of any injured person.
We are men and we fought the war of justice courageously . We are still fighting this war and will continue to fight this war.Earlier no JIT asked this question from Sharif brothers why Mushtaq Sukhera was brought from Quetta to Lahore by sending plane. What the emergency was and what was going to happen. All these questions are being asked from the former rulers for the first time. The former rulers did not allow constitution of a neutral JIT as long as they remained in power.
How could we repose trust on the JIT which was constituted by the killers and those behind the killings.He stated that new JIT has recorded statements of Nawaz Sharif, Shahbaz Sharif, Rana Sana, Dr Tauqir Shah, several bureaucrats and about 150 officers.We heard the news on tv that AD Khawaja has been appointed as chairman JIT,however, we were satisfied over the constitution of neutral JIT as no representative from Punjab police was included in it, he remarked.
We are satisfied over the JIT constituted to probe into Model Town incident but as soon as I heard court decision that JIT has been stopped from working I returned to Pakistan, he underscored. I will make consultations with the lawyers. I will hold detailed press conference in the next one or two days. We only want justice. The final decision has to be given by the court. Whatever decision the court gives we will accept it. However an impartial investigation into Model Town incident is must.
