Hundreds participate in flag-lowering ceremony at Wagha

The ceremony was held at Wagha Border with zeal and enthusiasm on the eve of Pakistan Day.

LAHORE- (Pakistan Point News- 23rd March, 2019) Flag lowering ceremony was held at Wagha Border with zeal and enthusiasm on the eve of Pakistan Day.

A large number of people participated in the event which started in the evening and ended before sunset.

Wearing the colorful dress and painting their faces with green and white colors, participants including elders, women, and children raised slogans of Pakistan Zinda Abad (Live Long) and Pakistan Army Zinda Abad. National anthem and national songs were played on the occasion.

Showing their love and patriotism for the country, people vowed to make every sacrifice for the homeland. They said they were standing shoulder to shoulder with the army to face any challenge to the country’s sovereignty.

Besides the hundreds of participants at Wagha, millions saw the ceremony on the tv screen as it was live broadcast on private and national televisions.
