MULTAN, Nov 8 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 08th Nov, 2016 ) : Cable Operators Federation of Pakistan has demanded the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) to cancel the auction of Direct to Home (DTH) Licences, scheduled on November 23.
Representatives of Cable Operators Federation of Pakistan Rana Ayub, Malik Rasheed and others told a press conference that they made huge investment in this sector. Chairman PEMRA should give clear digital policy before launching of DTH technology.
They said they had closed Indian channels and other content including Indian dramas or films on channels. They maintained that the sale of Dish tv or C-Line had increased in markets and the government should take notice of the situation as these were showing Indian news.
