Women Entrepreneurs Key To Accelerating Economic Growth: Abdul Basit

LAHORE, Nov 8 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 08th Nov, 2016 ) : Role of women has utmost importance in nation-building as they constitute more than half of the population, said Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) President Abdul Basit on Tuesday.
He was talking to a member of the United Nations panel for women empowerment, Fizza Farhan, at Lahore Chamber.
He said that women should be encouraged to participate in trade and economic activities which would help the country achieve economic revival target in the shortest possible time.
Today's women are well-aware of their rights, equally educated and entering into non-traditional businesses like boutiques, textile designing, printing and publishing, architecture, banking, IT, business management, fashion designing etc. Fizza Farhan lauded Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry's role for economic betterment of the working women across Pakistan.
