KARACHI, Nov 8 (Pakistan Point News - APP - 08th Nov, 2016 ) : Seven ships C.V MSC Meava, C.V Chariston, C.V Najran, M.V BBC Vermount, M.T White Purl and M.T Al-Salam-II scheduled to load/offload containers, cement, project cargo LPG and diesel oil were arranged berthing at Qasim International Container Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively on Monday. Berth occupancy was observed at the port at 60% on Monday where a total of nine ships namely ships C.
V MSC Meava, C.V Chariston, C.V Najran, M.V Diamond Sea, M.V BBC Vermount, M.V Zi Jing Song, M.V Cretan Wave, M.T White Purl and M.T Al-Salam-II were occupied PQA berths to load/offload containers, cement, project cargo, sun flower seeds, LPG and diesel oil respectively during last 24 hours. A cargo volume of 104,374 tonnes, comprising 54,258 tonnes import cargo and 50,116 tonnes export cargo inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 4,294 containers TEUs) 1,742 imports TUEs & 2,552 TUEs exports) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
Two containers ships, MSC Meava and Najran sailed out to sea on Tuesday morning, while two more ships Chariston and Zi Jing Song are expected to sail on same day afternoon. Three ships C.V Maersk Columbus, C.V Chariston, C.V MSC Silvana and M.V Hoanya Wisdom scheduled to load/offload containers and rice are expected to take berths at Container Terminal and Multi Purpose Terminal respectively on Tuesday.
