A senior Sindh police official has violated orders of the Inspector General of Sindh Police Syed Kaleem Imam regarding ban on self-publicity

KARACHI (Pakistan Point News / NNI - 18th March, 2019) A senior Sindh police official has violated orders of the Inspector General of Sindh Police Syed Kaleem Imam regarding ban on self-publicity.Police officers are busy in self-publicity campaign despite ban by the Sindh police chief.Superintendent Police Masood Bangash has got released a banner regarding March 23, Pakistan Day, with his picture. While, the IG had said no police officer could get his picture printed for publicity.

According to the orders issued by Kaleem Imam, only Sindh Police's logo could be printed on advertisements. "Names of the Sindh government and Sindh police should be printed on banners," the order read.In October 2018, Punjab Finance Minister Makhdoom Hashim Jawan Bakhat had said that in the past, costly programmes were initiated in the name of development which were actually meant for personal publicity of the former rulers, citing that the claimant of public service' (PML-N government) had termed Orange Line Metro Train' as their pride but the project has now become a burden."The former government declared that OLMT would cost Rs165billion, now almost Rs250billion have been spent and the project is still incomplete," the minister had said.
