PM directs power ministry to reduce load-shedding by half

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 07th Nov, 2016 ) : Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Monday directed the Ministry of Water and Power to reduce duration of load-shedding by half in the country.

According to a PM House statement, the Prime Minister said that the load-shedding should be reduced by half that is three hours urban and four hours rural from November 8 onward.

However, in areas where majority does not pay electricity bills or low recovery areas, load-shedding will be the same, the statement added.

The Prime Minister has tasked the Secretary Water & Power to effectively implement the decision first on trial basis.
