FIA Granted 4-day Physical Remand Of PWD Official

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 07th Nov, 2016 ) : Four-day physical remand of an executive engineer of Public Works Department (PWD) was granted to Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for installing a sub-standard lift in the office of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
Accused Faiz Ahmed Faiz was produced in the court of duty judge Rasool Baksh Mirjat. The court was informed by the FIA officials that the ECP had paid over RS 15.7 million, but a sub-standard lift worth Rs 3.6 million was installed. Moreover, PEPRA Rules were also violated, besides embezzlement of funds.
