HESCO Disconnects Power Supply To 17 Villages For Recovery Of Outstanding Dues

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 07th Nov, 2016 ) : The power connections of 17 villages of Kotri has been discontinued by special team of Hyderabad Electric Supply Company in its operation for recovery of outstanding dues and curbing the tendency of power theft.
The HESCO spokesman informed here on Monday that an amount of Rs.
5 million was outstanding against the consumers of these 17 villages of Kotri and after failure of payment of outstanding dues, the Executive Engineer HESCO Operation Division Kotri, Aijaz Shaikh, along with his team members cut off the power supply to these villages.
Besides, the HESCO teams also removed 250 illegal connections and seized the wires with registration of FIR against power thieves at the concerned Police Stations. The spokesman added that power connections of eight tube wells have also been disconnected by the teams following non payment of outstanding dues.
