202 Baloch Separatists Surrender In Quetta

QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 07th Nov, 2016 ) : Around 202 Baloch separatists belonging to banned militant organizations here Monday surrendered to provincial government authorities by handing over their weapons and vowing to remain loyal to the country.
The 202 Baloch militants handed over their weapons to the government one by one and vowed to remain loyal during rest of their life at a ceremony held at Chief Minister Secretariat. On the occasion, the Chief Minister gave them cash prizes and announced that their families and children would be financially assisted by the government.
Chief Minister said that so-called nationalist leaders living in Europe misguided Baloch youth to take up arm against the state. "So-called nationalists living in Europe and enjoying luxury life misguided our youth to go on mountains and take arm against the state," he said.
He said that he welcomed those who have left armed movement, surrendered to the government and vowed to become part of mainstream and to remain loyal to Pakistan. "I welcome those who have surrendered," he said.
"The so-called nationalist leaders living abroad have their hidden agenda of making people fight their brothers in Balochistan in the name of so-called freedom fight," the Chief Minister said. He said that innocent people were used in the name of so-called freedom fight.
"We have vowed that we would continue our efforts to get durable peace for people of Balochistan," he said. Commander Southern Command, Lt Gen Aamir Riaz said that Pakistan and its province, Balochistan have been facing challenge of terrorism.
"Some organizations are involved in acts of terrorism in Balochistan," he said adding that but nefarious designs of enemies of Pakistan would be foiled at any cost. He said that people of Balochistan wanted to live within framework of Pakistan.
"People of Balochistan love their country Pakistan and they are loyal to their country like that people of other federating units," he added. The ceremony at Chief Minister Secretariat was attended by Chief Minister Balochistan, Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri, Commander Southern Command, Lt Gen Aamir Riaz, Home Minister, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti and other ministers including Nawab Changez Khan Marri, Sardar Aslam Bezenjo, Nawab Ayaz Jogezai, Nawab Muhammad Khan Shahwani, Mir Mujibur Rehman Muhammad Hasni and Sheikh Jaffar Mandokhel, Chief Secretary Balochistan, Saifullah Chattha, Inspector General, Frontier Corps Balochistan, Maj-General.
Sher Afgun, IG Police Balochistan, Ahsan Mehboob and senior civil and military officials.
