KARACHI, (Pakistan Point News - 07th Nov, 2016 ) : Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah while reiterating his stance has said that there was zero tolerance against those who want to create sectarian unrest in the province. "The government has started ruthless operation against terrorists and against those who are fanning flames of sectarian violence in the city," he said. This he said while presiding over fourth cabinet meeting at New Secretariat on Monday, said a statement.
The meeting was attended by all ministers including Nisar Khuhro, Manzoor Wassan, Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani, advisors Mola Bux Chandio, Murtaza Wahab, special assistants and senior bureaucrats. The chief secretary, Siddique Memon conducted the meeting. The meeting started with the briefing by IG Police AD Khowja on law and order. He said that on Moharram 7 the conspiracy of creating sectarian violence in the city was unfolded when two persons were killed at Gulistan-i-Jauhar.
The police and Rangers conducted combing operation and arrested some terrorists, he added. The Sindh CM kept visiting majalis, Moharram processions and their routes almost on every day. This created an enormous impact and every one worked with so closely that with the grace of God Ashura was passed peacefully, he said. He added that just after Ashura, the wave of sectarian killing emerged again. The CM Sindh convened a special meeting on last Saturday and decided to intensify operation.
The operation was going across the board in the city and some major achievement have been made by arresting some terrorists, he said. The cabinet discussed the issue of unauthorized used of government vehicles. The CM Sindh directing chief secretary Siddique Memon said "I am giving 24 hours to all the officers and former ministers to return the vehicles they are using without authority," he said and directed all the ministers and public representatives not to use unregistered vehicle.
The Sindh CM also directed General Administration department working under chief secretary to remove the number plates from the off road and obsolete government vehicles meant for auction and surrender the same to the excise department. "I am going to implement the traffic rules strongly, therefore every one has to follow," he said. The cabinet appreciating the lifting of ban on recruitment allocated 15 percent quota in the jobs for women and 5 percent for minorities.
The cabinet decided to implement the allocation of jobs for women and minority in true letter and spirit. The CM Sindh said that he was paying special attention towards the development of the province. "You would be surprised that by this date the finance department has released Rs 93.1 billion out of Rs 225 billion provincial and district ADP against which Rs 31 billion have been utilized. The utilization figure seems to be not good but it would turn to be satisfactory when payment of bills is made," he said.
