Two Dacoits Killed During Encounter

OKARA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 07th Nov, 2016 ) : Two dacoits were killed allegedly by the firing of their own accomplices during an encounter with police in Depalpur area, near here on Monday.

According to police, Depalpur police had arrested Musanaf Sheikh and Akram involved in a robbery case, in the precincts of city Depalpur police station.

The police party was taking the accused in a van for the recovery of booty when their four accomplices intercepted the vehicle near Bahri Pur and managed to release them from police custody under the cover of firing and fled.

Police chased the outlaws. In the meantime, the outlaws opened fire at police near Bahri Pur which led to a cross firing. However, Musanaf and Akram were killed by the firing of their own accomplices. Police are investigating.
