`Science International' Journal Derecognized By HEC

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 07th Nov, 2016 ) : Higher education Commission (HEC) has derecognized the multi-disciplinary sciences discipline journal entitled "Science International" for publishing social sciences papers without taking recognition from Social Sciences Section of Academic Division of the HEC.

According to an HEC press release issued on Monday, the editor of the journal had been repeatedly informed through letters and emails to refrain from publishing social sciences papers/articles.

Due to continuous violation of HEC instructions, the journal was derecognized on September 23, it added. The HEC advised students, researchers and faculty members not to publish their papers in "Science International" as papers published in that journal would not be counted or considered for PhD degree attestation, faculty appointment, faculty promotion and other such purposes.
