Football: Marchisio Out, Italy Call Up Gagliardini And Izzo

ROME, Nov 7, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 07th Nov, 2016 ) : Italy midfielder Claudio Marchisio will miss his country's World Cup qualifier against Liechtenstein in Vaduz on Thursday, coach Giampiero Ventura opting to call up Roberto Gagliardini and Armando Izzo.
Marchisio, making his return from a serious knee injury, has been sent back to Juventus as a precaution after complaining of left leg pains, the Italian football federation explained. Ventura immediately drafted in Atalanta midfielder Gagliardini and Genoa's central defender Izzo.
Italy are level top with Spain in European qualifying Group G with seven points from three games.
