10% Of Total Rs 12bln C&W Hazara Circle ADP 2016-17 Budget Utilized Till Date: Chief Engineer

PESHAWAR, Nov 7 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 07th Nov, 2016 ) : Chief Engineer Communication and Works Department (C&W) Hazara Circle, Ejaz Ansari has said that 10 percent of the total allocated amount of rupees 12 billion allocated in ADP 2016-17 for execution of development projects in Hazara Circle has been spent till date.
Talking to APP, Ansari said the work would soon start on 18 kilometers Abbottabad by-pass road from Havelian to Damtore costing Rs 3 bln for which approval has been accorded by the provincial government.
With completion of this project, Ansari said the issue of traffic mess in Abbottabad would be addressed to great extent. The Haripur Judicial Complex, he said has been completed with a cost of Rs 900 million and work on Abbottabad Judicail Complex would soon be kicked off with an estimated cost of Rs 900 mln.
Ansari informed that work on feasibility report of 63.5 kilometers Pir Sohawa, Islamabad, Changla Gali and Nathia Gali road was underway which would be completed by December this year. This project on completion, he said would give a great boost to tourism activities in the area.
Ansari said the district headquarters hospital has already been completed and inaugurated by the Chief Minister KP. Work on district headquarters hospital at Mansehra was underway that was destroyed in October 2005 earthquake and would soon be completed.
To a question regarding political interference in uplift projects, Ansari said there was no interference in Hazara division projects and the department was freely carrying on its work over these projects. The provincial government has imposed a 50 percent cut on maintenance funds, he said.
