Five-member Pak Contingent To Participate In Weightlifting C'ship

ISLAMABAD, Nov 7 (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 07th Nov, 2016 ) : A five-member Pakistan contingent will be flying to Tokyo, Japan on Tuesday to participate in the Asian Youth and Junior Weightlifting Championship scheduled to be held from November 8 to 15.
Talking to APP, Pakistan Weightlifting Federation (PWF) vice- president said Muhammad Rashid Malik said as many as nineteen countries will participate in the championship including Pakistan, Japan, Korea, Iran, Uzbekistan and China.
He said the five-member Pakistan contingent includes three weightlifters and two officials. "The three-member Pakistan team to participate in the event includes Talha Talib (62kg), Farhan Ahmed (72kg) and Muhammad Nooh Dastagir Butt (105kg)," he said. He said the officials to accompany the team comprise PWF Secretary Muhammad Amin Butt (team manager) and Irfan Butt (coach).
